Qualifications

A leading quantitative trading firm is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an established trading team in New York. This is an operations-first engineering role focused on keeping critical trading systems reliable, investigating issues and continuously improving production workflows.

The role:

• Monitor critical trading workflows, market connectivity and data pipelines
• Investigate alerts, failed jobs and degraded systems
• Resolve issues independently and partner with engineers on more complex problems
• Build a deep understanding of production systems, dependencies and trading workflows
• Improve monitoring, alerting, documentation and operational processes
• Automate repetitive tasks and implement safe, well-scoped code and configuration changes
• Work closely with Quant Researchers, Software Engineers and Middle Office teams

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years' experience in Production Engineering, DevOps, Trade Support, Systems Operations or a related role
• Experience within electronic trading is beneficial but not essential
• Strong Python, Linux and shell scripting skills
• Comfortable reading, debugging and modifying existing code
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, automation or production data workflows
• Calm, systematic approach to troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in production reliability and ownership
