Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the monitoring,

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 5+ years in DevOps or software development; or 3 years with Masters.
• Strong Kubernetes and AWS experience for deployment and management.
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible for config management.
• Experience in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Proficient Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of AGILE methodologies and software toolchains.
• Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring others.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, esp. EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and mentor the team.
• Occasionally work onsite at Fort Meade, MD 4–5 days per week.
