Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the Systems Development team and shape the future of global commerce. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and monitor performance with a focus on security and reliability.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years in IT with cloud, containers, and monitoring experience, plus scripting skills and knowledge of QA workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
• Typically minimum of 2 years years of experience in IT with expertise in complex technology solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
• Experience with pipeline technology (Harness, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Experience in QA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor and maintain QA automation/robotic testing lab.
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive solutions.
• Enhance security and compliance across infrastructure and pipelines.
• Improve system reliability through automation and observability.
• Maintain and evolve container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker).
• Implement and improve platforms, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
