Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a Full-time Development Operations Engineer to join the IT Department. You will build and maintain software and infrastructure for internal users and guests, and design solutions for internal and outward-facing processes.

As part of the IT team you will develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot automated workflows, CI/CD processes, and system integrations, while providing technical support and maintaining documentation. The role reports to the VP of IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software and infrastructure for internal users and guests.
• Design solutions for internal/outward-facing processes.
• Develop, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD workflows and integrations.
• Provide technical support and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with IT team, Zoo departments, vendors, and affiliates.
