Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial institution to recruit an experienced enterprise systems administrator. You will ensure reliable operation of critical enterprise systems, drive automation, and enhance monitoring to support a high-stakes trading environment.

Responsibilities include building dashboards with popular tools, maintaining Windows and Linux servers, and developing automation scripts in multiple languages to streamline deployment and system improvements.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of enterprise-level administration and support.
• 6-8 years of automation scripting and monitoring/alerting solutions.
• 6-8 years of SDLC practices.
• Hands-on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, deployment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) hosted via Virtual Machine.
• Solid understanding of IP networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP routing).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Strong Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Programming in .Net, C#, Powershell, YAML, Java, Python, Bash.

• Provide expert-level system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning for both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Develop and maintain code in various programming languages, including .Net, C#, Powershell, Yaml, Java, Python, and Bash, to support automation and system enhancements.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in enterprise-level administration and support.
• 6-8 years of experience in writing automation scripts and building proactive monitoring and alerting solutions using platforms such as Grafana, Influx, Datadog, Moog, and ThousandEyes.
• 6-8 years of experience practicing and improving SDLC processes.
• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) hosted via Virtual Machine.
• Solid understanding of IP networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and IP routing.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Strong Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning skills.
• Development experience in one or more of the following programming languages: .Net, C#, Powershell, Yaml, Java, Python, Bash.
• Knowledge of one or more database technologies: SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres.
