Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial services organization to hire a seasoned Full Stack Developer in Austin, TX. You will shape customer-facing and backend applications, mentor juniors, and drive best practices in CI/CD and TDD within an agile team.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable software that accelerates time to market and enhances client experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in full stack development with mentoring experience.
• Strong experience ASP.NET, Angular, .NET/.NET Core, C#, REST APIs.
• Relational databases including SQL and Oracle; cloud/microservices experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on coding, unit testing, and prompt resolution of production issues to maintain application stability and performance.
• Lead the design and implementation of new features and critical bug fixes, taking ownership from conception to deployment.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of comprehensive full stack application development experience, including a proven track record of mentoring and assisting junior developers.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing web-enabled applications using:
  • Front End Technologies/Concepts: ASP.NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync services.
  • Back End Technologies/Concepts: .NET, .NET core, C#, RESTful API design, Micro-Services, and Event-driven architecture and frameworks.
  • Database Technologies/Concepts: Relational databases such as SQL and Oracle.
  • Environment: Experience with Distributed Monolithic and Cloud-Based Micro-services architectures.
• A strong passion for enterprise-level agile development methodologies.
• Solid understanding of web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies.
• Comfortable with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques, and automated deployment pipeline tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for problem-solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of technical and business teams.
• Proven ability to work independently while also demonstrating leadership within a team setting.
• A collaborative team player, self-motivated, and adept at working across various organizational and geographic boundaries.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Bamboo.
• Familiarity with Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry environments.
