What You Will Be Doing:

As a member of the DevOps team, you will be working to support the build and deployment infrastructure and processes for RegEd’s web-based SaaS applications. You will work with a team of engineers, product managers, and other professionals to identify and resolve risks and problems for all stakeholders in RegEd’s SaaS solutions. Ultimately, your goal as a DevOps Engineer is to work with these myriad teams to create a more streamlined and efficient development process.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of tasks in DevOps roadmap
  • Execution of tasks in accordance with DevOps policies and procedures using RegEd-approved approaches, promoting consistency and stability across all products
  • Coordinating activities with other staff to ensure that schedules are met
  • Participate in training sessions with staff on DevOps best practices where needed; fostering a mindset of upskilling among staff to prepare to meet future requirements
  • Evangelizing the mindset of DevOps as a rigorous discipline to help stakeholders become aware of problems and risks
  • Fostering process improvement through an “Automation First” approach
  • Facilitating test automation across all quality engineering and development staff
  • Working with management to conduct internal audits of the company’s DevOps methods to identify potential problems and recommend solutions will improve efficiency in processes
  • Proactively reports team status and results to management
  • Eliminating or escalating issues impeding team progress
  • Gathering and reporting key performance indicators and metrics for process improvement
  • Participation in readiness and go/no-go conversations and decisions
  • Promoting and implementing continuous process improvement, including the adoption of best practices within the DevOps organization
  • Working with management to onboard/offboard contractors and consultants needed
  • Work with management to evaluate new technologies and tools to determine suitability for use and executing their rollout
  • Staying current with software engineering industry trends and best practices, and working with team leadership on their adoption
  • Review/Implement recommendations for containing or reducing operating costs, tool consolidation

Must Have:

  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining various automation pipeline functions (CI/CD, Appbuild/delivery, DB build/delivery)
  • Experience in Build and Release Engineering in a diverse development environment
  • History of performing hands-on Azure work to solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience developing, implementing and using DevOps tools
  • Languages/Scripting - YAML, PowerShell, SQL, Python, Bash, C#, Java
  • Experience with NX Monorepo – in a .Net environment - preferred
  • Experience with Liquibase a plus
  • Experience in supporting Azure computing infrastructure, data implementation, networking; implementation, and solutions by using Azure platform services.
  • Ability to work on a team spanning multiple disciplines as well as independently to achieve team goals.

Pay Transparency:

The compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000

RegEd takes a market-based approach to pay. Your actual pay is based on your unique background, pertinent experience, work location and qualifications. In addition to competitive base pay and bonus program participation, RegEd’s total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package in addition to vacation, sick, volunteer time off and paid parental leave.
