We are searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer with the experience and desire to create seamless, elegant and reliable automation tools, technologies and infrastructure. If you are passionate about developing something that works as well in a production environment serving millions of users as it does on a developer virtual machine, this is the opportunity for you. DevOps responsibility includes developing and maintaining the technology and processes around deployments and microservices at Pinger. You will need to understand concepts from base infrastructure, service level architecture, to all of the technologies needed to enable various services to intercommunicate in a scalable and reliable fashion.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Terraform to build and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployments
• Design and implement processes to automate those deployments in all environments
• Design and implement tooling to do continuous integration (Jira, GIT, Jenkins)
• Design and implement technologies for various services and deployments to be able to intercommunicate in a secure fashion
• Collaborate with the larger engineering organization on building infrastructure to support new deployments and services
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years combined experience in DevOps and operations roles
• Ability to work, collaborate, brainstorm and solve problems in a cross functional, multi-team environment
• 4+ years of experience in AWS
• 2+ years using Terraform in AWS
• 2+ years experience with Jira
• 2+ years experience with Jenkins
• 2+ years experience with GIT
• 2+ years experience in managing production deployments
• 5+ years experience in scripting (perl, bash, python, php)
• 2+ years experience with configuration management tools (salt, chef, puppet, ansible)
• 2+ years experience in systems administration
• 2+ years experience in managing production systems (networking, load balancers, large scale deployment)
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
