Job summary

Weissman is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and testing strategies across development and operations. You will help ensure reliable deployments, monitor system health, and drive performance improvements.

You will collaborate with Development, IT, and Project Management teams to coordinate releases and strengthen deployment processes in a hybrid work environment in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years in a DevOps/QA or related role.
  • 1–3 years with programming and managing deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
  • Leadership or senior DevOps experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop automation frameworks to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
  • Create and maintain testing programs addressing database impacts and performance.
  • Establish monitoring standards for health, performance, and stability.
  • Coordinate releases with Development and PM teams.

Brief Description
JOB SUMMARY

As a DevOps Engineer at Weissman, you’ll help build and optimize the technology infrastructure that keeps our applications running reliably and our software moving efficiently from development to deployment. You’ll take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, testing strategies, and system monitoring while solving complex technical challenges that improve performance, stability, and scalability.

You’ll work closely with Development, IT, and Project Management teams to coordinate releases, strengthen deployment processes, and continuously improve how our systems operate. This is an opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys digging into complex systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and creating practical solutions that make technology more efficient and reliable.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that automate software delivery and environment provisioning.
  • Develop automation frameworks and solutions that improve the efficiency, consistency, and reliability of deployment processes.
  • Create and maintain testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, and system performance.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring standards to proactively identify system health, performance, and stability concerns.
  • Monitor ADA compliance levels and checkout stability and respond to high-level production alerts and issues.
  • Coordinate with Development teams and Project Managers to establish release schedules and support successful software deployments.
  • Manage and monitor defects through Jira, helping ensure issues are appropriately tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Analyze systems and processes to identify gaps, performance issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for complex systems, processes, testing procedures, and operational standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, including reviewing test plans, scripts, and documentation for quality and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Experience
  • 4 to 6 years of experience as a QA Analyst, DevOps Engineer, or in a comparable role supporting software delivery and operations.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with programming and managing complex software deployments.
  • Previous experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automation, software testing, and deployment processes.
  • Experience in a leadership or senior-level capacity within a DevOps environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, + Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD process management, automation tools, and software delivery practices.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance procedures and testing methodologies for complex software environments.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce concepts and technologies supporting high-volume transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify system gaps and recommend effective improvements.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance monitoring tools and implementation practices.
  • Ability to monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and support reliable application performance.
  • Ability to document complex technical systems, processes, and procedures clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and provide guidance on established technical standards and procedures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Development, IT, and Project Management teams.
  • Practical understanding of core business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Distribution.
