eShepherd, backed by Gallagher Animal Management, is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to scale the technology behind a leading AgTech platform. This role centers on AWS scalability, database performance, and platform reliability across regions.

You’ll be North American engineering lead, partnering with R&D teams in New Zealand and Australia to support a global base of farmers and ranchers, while driving CI/CD, IaC, and observability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS infrastructure experience (ECS, EKS, RDS).
• Deep MySQL and database optimisation expertise.
• DevOps and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Performance tuning, monitoring and incident response capability.
• Experience supporting production systems at scale.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across time zones.
• Curiosity, initiative and a data-driven approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to help scale the technology behind one of the world's most exciting AgTech platforms.

eShepherd is transforming livestock management through virtual fencing technology. With deployments across 20+ countries and rapid growth throughout North America, we're building a platform that must perform at scale, across regions, and in some of the world's most challenging environments.
