Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, Texas seeks motivated students for a summer internship in engineering. You will assist senior engineers in design, development, testing, and documentation of semiconductor products, while performing data analysis and laboratory support.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a technical degree, with programming language familiarity (Python/C/C++/Java), strong analytical skills, and excellent English communication. Returning to school after the internship is required.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering initiatives.

Job Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Strong academic record and a genuine interest in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) is preferred.
• Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
• Prior experience with laboratory equipment or simulation tools is a plus.

In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
