Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin welcomes motivated students for a summer internship. You will assist senior engineers in design, development, and testing of semiconductor products, conduct research, analyze data, and support lab activities with experiments and documentation.

The program emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, learning industry-standard tools, and contributing to project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong academic record and genuine interest in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java).
  • Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with laboratory equipment or simulation tools is a plus.
