Job summary

CompuComStaffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, Inc., seeks a Device Deployment Technician for our client site in Miami, FL. You will unpack hardware, install software, test systems, and document installation in alignment with warranty and billing rules.

You’ll work with Lead Technicians to resolve complex configurations on a fast-paced IT team. Ideal candidates bring Dell systems experience, Windows 10/11 proficiency, InTune/Autopilot familiarity, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
• CompTIA A+ certification required or equivalent.
• Experience with Dell systems in large deployments.
• End-user and mobile device deployment experience with management.
• familiarity with InTune and Autopilot for modern devices.
• Deployment, troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks and installs CPU, hardware and software per spec.
• Tests configurations and troubleshoots errors.
• Documents installation and QA to ensure accurate billing.
• Adheres to customer hardware/software specifications.
• Completes required training certifications.
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning units and uses formal processes.
• Keeps up with new product and service developments.
• Collaborates with Lead Technicians on tough issues.

Job description

We are currently in search of a qualified Device Deployment Technician to join our client’s team onsite in Miami, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unpacks appropriate CPU, hardware, and software and installs each at default or to custom specifications
• Tests configured systems for appropriate functioning and troubleshoots for any errors found
• Completes all required documentation of installation, including quality assurance sheet to ensure accurate billing with respect to warranty contract, proper processing of defective products, and timely vendor returns and reimbursements
• Follows customer personal computer system hardware and software specifications based on instructions supplied
• Complies with departmental training certification requirements
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning units using efficient problem-solving techniques and departmental procedures
• Research hardware and software literature to keep abreast on new product / service developments and announcements
• Works with Lead Technicians on difficult to solve problems or configurations

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Win 10
• CompTIA A+ certification
• Experience with Dell Systems
• Large enterprise end-user and mobile device deployment and management experience
• Microsoft Windows 11 and InTune & Autopilot familiarity
• Experience with deployments and troubleshooting
• Great customer service skills

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $19.50- $26.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
