ERGO NEXT is seeking a Team Lead for Developer Experience to build and lead a brand-new DevEx team in a hybrid role based in Waltham, MA. You will drive a world-class developer experience by shaping the design-to-deployment lifecycle, enabling AI-enhanced tooling and self-service platforms for engineers across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Backend team lead in a fast-paced cloud environment.
• 5+ years as Backend Developer in a cloud-oriented org.
• Strategic thinking and prioritization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build trust with stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Proven track record leading meaningful projects and DevEx improvements.
• Self-driven leader with curiosity to apply AI in the SDLC.
• Expertise in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with Build tools and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Execute our strategy for an Agentic SDLC, leveraging AI to automate and enhance the design-to-deployment lifecycle.
• Champion a Platform-as-a-Product mindset, delivering self-service tools that solve real-world development bottlenecks.
• Partner with R&D stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities stay aligned with developer needs and business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Backend and DevOps engineers.
