Job summary

LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. seeks a Developmental Therapist for Early Learning Programs (birth-5) in St. Joseph County.

The role integrates therapy into classrooms and provides training to teachers and families, including developmental screenings. It also acts as a First Steps therapist for home visits in birth-3 cases, developing and documenting individualized plans with families. Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with staff, supervisor and agency personnel.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community partners, teachers, children and families.
• Ability to provide developmental screenings and outcomes for children.
• Creativity in exploring new ideas for program delivery.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Ability to maintain organized paperwork and records.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be licensed in Indiana as a First Steps Provider.
• Willingness to complete required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Devise and implement teaching strategies compatible with Early Learning Programs and individual needs.
• Support teachers and caregivers with resources to meet goals.
• Visit and consult with other community service providers serving LOGAN clients.
• Prepare Individualized Family Service Plans with parents and agencies.
• Evaluate each child’s programming and recommend curriculum enhancements.
• Ensure health and safety of children at all times.
• Furnish documentation in a timely manner.
• Respect confidentiality and cultural diversity in all program activities.
