Healthy Beginnings in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Developmental Support Specialist (DSS) to coordinate family services for infants and toddlers birth through age 2 within Palm Beach County. The role includes screening and eligibility assessment, parental education, and linking families to further assessment.

Fieldwork requires daytime and evening hours to accommodate client schedules. Responsibilities include conducting developmental screenings 0–2, providing guidance on safe sleep and home

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field; minimum 2 years’ experience in related service areas.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Schedule includes occasional evening and weekend hours.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Florida driver’s license required.
• Background check through Clearinghouse required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings for children ages 0–2 during home and community visits.
• Provide developmental activities, parenting education, safe sleep guidance, and home safety education.
• Connect families with early intervention, healthcare, and community resources; determine eligibility and make referrals.
• Build relationships with families and partners to ensure ongoing support through age two.
• Maintain documentation and data entry to meet program standards and outcomes.
• Participate in outreach, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
