DWI is seeking a Developmental Specialist for the Adult Life Program in Rexburg, Idaho. The role focuses on advancing individuals with developmental disabilities through data-informed planning and compassionate support.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, guiding program implementation, and assisting during crises with de-escalation techniques while ensuring quality and compliance with all policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education, human services, or related field, or equivalent plus competency exam.
• Minimum 5 years' supervised experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Ability to train, lead, and inspire staff.
• Excellent time management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee growth and development of individuals with developmental disabilities through data analysis, program planning, and implementation.
• Provide guidance and support to skills trainers through mentoring, observation, and feedback.
• Advise on client needs during crises using de-escalation techniques and positive support.
• Support staffing operations and address coverage during shortages.
• Deliver high-quality services in compliance with rules, regulations, and policies.
