Job summary

Community Connections Inc. is hiring Aides to join the Day Center team in Fall River, MA, supporting individuals with disabilities and helping implement service plans to promote independence.

You will work 1:1 or in group settings, assisting with skills development, daily routines, and safety, while documenting progress toward goals and safeguarding client dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and assist individuals in/out of wheelchairs or on mats.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Bi-lingual preferred (Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in developing and refining skills, promoting functional independence during breaks, mealtimes and other routines.
• Help implement DHSP goals within a group setting or one-to-one.
• Assist individuals physically as necessary.
• Document individuals' progress toward DHSP goals.
• Ensure individuals' health, safety and well-being.
• Safeguard the human dignity, rights and liberties of the individuals we serve.
• Work 1:1 with an individual we serve.

In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities by assisting in the implementation of individuals' service plans during their time at The Day Center. You will join Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for someone with a commitment to compassion, caring for others and serving the community.

What You'll Do as an Aide:
