Job summary

ND Health and Human Services is seeking a Developmental Disabilities Program Manager to provide case management and service coordination for Developmental Disability funded services across all ages.

Qualifications

Job description

North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Developmental Disabilities section is hiring a Developmental Disabilities Program Manager for the Devils Lake and Rolla area of North Dakota.

As a Developmental Disabilities Program Manager, you will provide case management and service coordination for all Developmental Disability funded services for eligible individuals. This position will work with infants, children, and adults. The services provided assist people to gain skills needed to live and work more independently in the community.

Position responsibilities include meeting with people and their families to complete assessments, collect information, and complete person-centered case plans. This position assists people in accessing available support services, coordinates and evaluates the services, completes documentation, and maintains records. The hours for this position are typically daytime hours during the week. At times flexibility is required to meet the needs of everyone.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following experience.

• One year of experience as a Developmental Disabilities Program Manager level one in the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services or meet the following definition of a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional.


• A person who has at least one year of direct care experience working with persons with a mental illness or a developmental disability.


• A bachelor's or master's degree in one of the following:




• Social work, psychology, counseling, addiction counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, communications disorders, physical therapy, developmental disabilities, child development and family science, severely multiply handicapped, special education, vocational rehabilitation, sociology, elementary education, recreation therapy, human resource management with the human services track.




• Or is a doctor of medicine.

Holds a valid driver's license and be able to drive to carry out the job duties of this position.

Both paraprofessional and professional level experience working with special population groups in a direct service capacity are given credit.

Location

This position may work from home and will require travel to the Rolette, Towner, Cavalier, Ramsey, Eddy and Benson counties.
