Job summary

Greene Tweed Company is seeking a manufacturing/engineering skilled individual to operate lab and production equipment, run experiments, and support process development. You will collect data, review reports, and help ensure QA-compliant production transfers while maintaining safety and equipment cleanliness.

The role emphasizes careful measurement, problem solving, and collaboration with development engineers on design-for-manufacturing and process improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Education includes a high school diploma with an associate degree in engineering technology or a technician certificate desired.
• Experience with basic lab equipment and analytical measuring instruments (calipers, scales) and ability to enter testing results into an electronic system.
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred and GD&T knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates production and/or development equipment in sample preparation and keeps workspace safe and clean.
• Carries out experiments, captures data, and provides feedback to development engineers.
• Assists with process recipe development, prototype manufacturing, and transfer to production with QA protocols.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspection and interprets inspection reports for process adjustments.
• Provides general support including packaging, rework, assembly and hardware installation.
• Assists troubleshooting by investigating product defects and initiating process improvements.
• Supports design-for-manufacturing, planning, time/cost estimates, material handling, and test rig creation.
