Job summary

LaGuardia Community College Foundation is seeking a Development Professional to support high‑level college relationships, including the Foundation Board of Directors, individual donors, and institutional funders, and to provide administrative support to the Foundation in the Development Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
• PreferredExperience in non‑profit development/fundraising and writing proposals, grant reports, and donor communications.
• Strong writing, attention to detail, and administrative/coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fundraising materials, including writing funding proposals for individuals and grant proposals for institutional funders; donor and grant reports; and the organization’s annual report; cultivate and solicit a portfolio of donors.
• Conduct comprehensive prospect research for potential individual and institutional funders and create donor briefings.
• Assist in donor moves management from cultivation to solicitation to stewardship; liaison with the President’s Office and department partners on projects, communications, and meetings.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Executive Director of the LaGuardia Foundation; coordinate cultivation meetings and events on and off campus.
• Assist in department tax-levy budget oversight and HR-related functions for Development; develop and prepare Board materials and communications.
• Provide logistical support by attending and tracking all official business and records for Board/Committee meetings and onboarding new Board members.
• Coordinate and schedule Board/Committee meetings and communications; update Board database.
