Job summary

Gateway Community & Technical College is seeking a Donor & Community Relationship Specialist to grow the college's donor network and community partnerships through strategic relationship development, donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising. You will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and move them toward greater engagement under Advancement leadership.

Reporting through the Advancement department, this role requires strong interpersonal skills, proactive outreach, and disciplined

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4–6 years of fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships with donors, business partners, and community stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Donor cultivation, fundraising and moves management for mid-level donors.
• Develop and cultivate prospective donor and community relationships across sectors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of donor relationships in the CRM.
• Collaborate with Advancement leadership to translate strategy into engagement opportunities.
• Represent Gateway at community and college events to strengthen donor engagement.
