Job summary
Montgomery County Department of Transportation is seeking a dedicated Engineer to join the Transportation Policy/Development Review Section. The role reviews development plans to ensure alignment with drainage, sight distance, and Master Plan guidelines, providing clear code-based comments grounded in established policies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; PE license may substitute.
- 1 year of experience for Engineer II; 3 years for Engineer III.
- Equivalency: alt. combos may substitute with required coursework.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Department in meetings with other government agencies and the private development community on proposed developments.
- Lead subdivision review discussions with the Executive Branch and Montgomery County agencies.
- Review plans and supporting documentation including storm drain capacity, sight distances, and traffic studies.
- Ensure compliance with county codes, policies, and engineering standards and verify completeness of development applications.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other staff within the Development Review Team.
