NPower seeks a highly organized Development Operations Manager to build and maintain internal systems so frontline fundraisers can focus on cultivating funders and submitting proposals efficiently.

This role serves as a key liaison between Development (fundraisers and grant writers) and Finance, Program, Data, Marketing, and other teams, helping streamline grant processes and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in nonprofit development operations or fundraising support.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong data analysis and ability to translate data into insights.
  • Experience building dashboards and pipeline reports in CRMs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the donor database usage and CRM transition, partnering with Development leadership, the Data team, and other stakeholders to maintain records, improve workflows, and strengthen reporting.
  • Develop and document systems and workflows for proposal development, grant reporting, and post‑award administration.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, and funder deliverables by coordinating inputs from internal teams and ensuring completeness.
  • Maintain grant‑tracking tools and dashboards; coordinate timelines, tasks, approvals, and submissions for frontline fundraisers and grant writers.
  • Create fundraising reports and dashboards to support leadership decisions and donor stewardship.
  • Maintain systems and reports that track grant deliverables, outcomes, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

Summary

NPower seeks a highly organized and systems-implementation-minded Development Operations Manager to build and maintain the internal systems such that front line fundraisers can spend more time in building relationships with funders and grant writers more efficiently submit proposals, reports and other funder deliverables. This position serves as a key liaison between Development (including front line fundraisers and grant writers) and Finance, Program, Data, Marketing, and other organizational teams. They will help streamline grant-related processes, maintain current organizational information and supporting materials, track deadlines and requirements, and coordinate responses to requests from funders and other external partners.

NPower will oversee the systems and processes to ensure data integrity, grant requirements are tracked, and development leaders have the reports and insights they need to cultivate and steward supporters. This is a highly collaborative role that combines database management, reporting, prospect research, and project coordination.

Development Systems and Grant Support

  • Support the Development team’s effective use of the donor database and any future CRM transition, partnering with Development leadership, the Data team, and other internal stakeholders to maintain accurate records, improve workflows, and strengthen reporting.
  • Help develop, implement, document, and continuously improve systems and workflows supporting proposal development, grant reporting, and post-award administration.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, reports, and other funder deliverables by compiling information, drafting or updating standard content, coordinating contributions from internal teams, and reviewing materials for completeness and consistency.
  • Maintain centralized grant-tracking tools and dashboards and coordinate internal timelines, assignments, reviews, approvals, and submission requirements in support of frontline fundraisers and grant writers.

Donor, Pipeline and Gift Information Management

  • Support donor and funder stewardship activities by maintaining accurate records and coordinating timely follow-up.
  • Support the accurate processing and documentation of contributions and maintain current grant deliverables, reporting requirements, and other relevant information in the CRM.
  • Create and maintain fundraising reports, dashboards, and pipeline-tracking tools to support Development team and executive leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain systems and reports that track grant deliverables, outcome expectations, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ Experience in nonprofit development operations, donor database management, or fundraising support.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, contributors, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, complete, and well-organized work.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Blackbaud, or comparable CRMs. experience building dashboards and pipeline reports preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with ability to work across regions and departments.

Compensation for this role is location-based. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's geographic location.
