Job summary

SimonCRE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead development and construction phases, coordinating architects, engineers, and consultants to meet schedules and budgets. You will work closely with AHJs and tenants, oversee entitlements, and mentor Development Associates as needed.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and budget management in a fast-paced real estate environment, with travel limited to local engagements as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills and exchange information with others accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and calendar management.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project schedule in collaboration with senior leaders and CEO.
• Research municipality requirements and build a comprehensive entitlement timeline.
• Hire and manage consultants ensuring timely engagement and deliverables.
• Review consultant contracts and protect terms and budget.
• Verify fees for consultants and permits; coordinate proforma updates monthly.
• Identify timeline roadblocks and cost pressures early to keep scope on budget.
• Coordinate plans submission to AHJ and tenants; train associates on processes.
• Develop relationships with government officials to support entitlement approvals.
• Ensure building permits are received on time and coordinate cross-team efforts.
