Job description

We are seeking a Product Manager – Fuel to lead strategic initiatives supporting fuel operations, fuel asset management, and in-store technology platforms. This role will help shape and execute the product roadmap for fuel-related solutions, including point-of-sale (POS) and forecourt controller technologies. The ideal candidate will combine strong product management expertise with exceptional stakeholder management, roadmap planning, and Agile delivery skills to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer fueling experiences across a large retail fuel network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a deep understanding of fuel retail operations, fuel asset management, and store-level business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, maximize revenue, and reduce costs through technology solutions.
  • Develop data-driven business cases and product proposals to support strategic initiatives and investments.
  • Define, maintain, and execute product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Lead a portfolio of fuel-related product initiatives from concept through deployment and adoption.
  • Prioritize product backlogs by balancing stakeholder requests, business value, technical requirements, and long-term product vision.
  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and features.
  • Drive Agile product development processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release activities.
  • Define business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product success metrics.
  • Monitor product performance and measure success through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, operational data, and business needs to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product strategy, priorities, and execution.
  • Support testing, validation, rollout planning, and change management activities.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap updates, project status, and business outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related product delivery roles.
  • Strong experience developing and managing product roadmaps.
  • Experience prioritizing product backlogs and balancing competing business priorities.
  • Experience working as a Product Owner in Agile development environments.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to create data-backed business cases and product recommendations.
  • Experience defining business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience partnering with software engineering teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on product KPIs and business outcomes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience within the retail fuel industry.
  • Knowledge of fuel operations, fuel asset management, or fuel technology platforms.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Experience with forecourt controllers, fuel dispensers, or related retail technologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale retail, convenience store, or consumer-facing technology environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise product management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional environments involving operations, engineering, and business stakeholders.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Agile or Product Management certifications preferred.
  • PMP or related project management certification is a plus.
