Job summary

Second Helpings, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Development Operations Manager to oversee systems, data, and processes supporting a high-performing development team.

You will manage grants, Salesforce administration, gift processing, donor stewardship, and workflows while supervising the Development Coordinator. The role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to driving accurate data, timely reporting, and continuous improvement in a mission-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in development operations, fundraising operations, or nonprofit administration.
• Demonstrated experience working with Salesforce; Salesforce administration experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing donor databases and development data, including data entry, reporting, list management, and data integrity.
• Experience supervising, training, or managing staff, with the ability to provide clear direction and effective support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading and editing abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day development operations, including development data and reporting, gift processing and reconciliation, donor and funder acknowledgement and stewardship.
• Oversee prospect and donor data management, including prospect assignments, solicitation activity, pipeline tracking, routine database maintenance, data hygiene, and movement through the solicitation cycle.
• Oversee acknowledgement and stewardship processes, schedules, quality control, and follow-up to ensure donors and funders receive timely recognition.
• Supervise and support the Development Coordinator by setting priorities, providing direction and feedback, and ensuring accurate, timely, high-quality work.
• Provide tours of Second Helpings as needed.
