Job Title:

Development Manufacturing Machinist - 2nd Shift

Reporting To:

Leader, Performance

Work Schedule:

Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • At least 5 years as a diversified machinist.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, rework, and repair tooling, fixturing, development, prototype, R&D, and production hardware.
  • Inspect and ensure quality using complex inspection techniques, including detecting unusual conditions and errors in blueprints.
  • Use CMM equipment to inspect parts.
  • Work according to instructions, making technical decisions on fixturing, tooling, setup, and inspection methods.
  • Assist on process improvement and projects occasionally.
  • Support production by collaborating with engineering and managers when needed.
  • Collect data for studies and analysis.
  • Interpret complex drawings, sketches, EPs, and operation sheets.
  • Perform difficult setups.
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual/conventional equipment, including editing and creating simple CNC programs.
  • Operate multiple machine types, with specialization in one area if applicable.
  • Navigate web-based applications, Moog Business Systems, and databases effectively.
  • Program using Unigraphics and/or Part Maker.

Salary Range:

Buffalo, NY: $32.00 - $40.00 hourly

The salary range reflects the low and high ends for this position in Buffalo, NY. Actual salaries depend on experience, location, and performance. Compensation may include bonuses, stock purchase plans, paid time off, and region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
