Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist for a Direct Hire opportunity on 2nd shift with a well-established manufacturer in Greer, South Carolina. This full-time role runs Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, offering up to $38/hour for the right candidate and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with profit sharing, quarterly bonuses, and more.

Lead CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the go-to leader for 2nd shift machinists, assisting with troubleshooting, training, and production flow
  • Program, set up, and operate multi-spindle bar-fed mill-turn CNC lathes (Fanuc control experience preferred)
  • Review and edit G & M code to optimize production and ensure accuracy
  • Perform dry runs and validate program accuracy through single block mode
  • Inspect first articles and ongoing production using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
  • Document measurements and maintain compliance with ISO quality standards
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper fluid levels
  • Communicate mechanical or tooling issues to the maintenance team and supervisors
  • Report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and work closely with cross-functional teams to meet production goals
Lead CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or at least 5 years of CNC machining experience, with leadership or mentoring responsibilities preferred
  • Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc experience highly valued)
  • Strong working knowledge of M & G codes
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools and interpreting results accurately
  • Solid understanding of ISO documentation and quality control processes
  • Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to train and support junior machinists
