Job summary

Horizons at Carolina Day School in Asheville, NC seeks a Development Manager to oversee a multi-modal fundraising program and to partner with the Executive Director and Board in strengthening Horizons’ growth and sustainability. The role focuses on advancing fundraising strategies and leading all fundraising activities.

This part-time position involves in-person collaboration on campus, occasional off-campus meetings, and flexible remote work for a portion of hours.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate with the Executive Director across all aspects of development.
• Coordinate donor communications via email, social media, and phone.
• Oversee donor outreach events and campaigns.
• Identify and cultivate major donors.
• Create fundraising materials and analyze results to increase reach.
• Lead donor stewardship and manage events for donors.
• Collaborate with staff to align programming and fundraising.
• Develop relationships with local businesses for giving programs.
• Represent Horizons at community events and raise awareness.
• Maintain donor database and generate lists and labels.
• Coordinate gift acknowledgments and reminders.
• Attend board meetings as requested.
• Contribute to expansion discussions and meet weekly with the Executive Director.
