Job summary

Horizons at Carolina Day School seeks a Development Manager to lead fundraising and stakeholder engagement for a six-week equity-centered academic program. This role partners with the Executive Director and the Board to advance fundraising strategies and donor stewardship.

The position is staff, part-time with hybrid work options on the campus of Carolina Day School and some remote work. Hours are approximately 60–80 per month, offering flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in development, fundraising or grantmaking.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and discretion.
• Experience with donor communications via email, social media and phone.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps and donor databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising programs for Horizons at Carolina Day School.
• Cultivate and enhance donor relationships and manage donor communications.
• Coordinate donor events and provide support for annual giving campaigns.
• Oversee donor database upkeep, gift processing and reporting.
• Represent Horizons at community events and build awareness.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Executive Director and Board.
