Job summary

The Development Manager at Community Youth Center of San Francisco will lead the donor pipeline, manage gifts and acknowledgments, and support campaigns and events. You will partner with the Director of Development and Communications, the Executive Director, and finance to strengthen donor engagement and grow contributed revenue.

You will develop donor materials, maintain CRM records, and generate regular reports to guide fundraising decisions while ensuring accurate gift processing and timely

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, grants, events, or related work.
• Experience supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events.
• Strong writing skills, especially for donor-facing materials, emails, reports, and campaign content.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience using donor databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, or other tracking systems.
• Ability to work across teams and gather information from program, finance, leadership, and communications staff.
• Comfort working in a growing department where systems are still being built.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Commitment to youth development, community-based work, equity, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a donor and prospect pipeline across current and new donors.
• Prepare materials for donor meetings, including histories and talking points.
• Engage high-capacity donors through preparation and follow-through.
• Draft donor correspondence, acknowledgments, and stewardship updates.
• Coordinate annual giving, campaigns, and events.
• Develop donor-facing materials and reports.
