Job summary

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is seeking a Manager of Development to advance fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, and drive development strategies that align with its mission and programs like Hiring Our Heroes and the Civic Trust.

You will partner with leaders and program teams to secure support from corporations, foundations, and individuals. You will lead planning and execution of fundraising activities, manage donor data, prepare proposals, and report on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or sales.
• Proven track record of securing significant gifts, grants, or sales contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
• Experience with public‑private partnerships.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and fundraising databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising plans for corporations, foundations, and individuals.
• Collaborate with leadership and program teams to ensure successful fundraising and donor engagement.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships through personalized communication and events.
• Plan, manage, and execute fundraising events.
• Prepare grant proposals, partnership proposals, and stewardship reports.
• Manage funder data, donor databases, and financial reporting.
• Prepare internal and external reports on fundraising activities.
• Support communications including impact reporting and donor-specific messaging.
