Job summary

Southern Land Company is seeking a full-time Development Manager to join our team in Erie, CO. The role focuses on leading all facets of a single-family/master planned community, from due diligence through construction and turnover, with a salary range of $100,000–$135,000 depending on experience.

The Development Manager will work closely with the executive team to guide strategic direction, manage development schedules, budgets, and approvals, and ensure financial and timetable success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with seven years leadership experience.
  • Experience in real estate development is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and finance for development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and authorities to obtain approvals and permits.
  • Oversee development from permit approvals through construction and turnover.
  • Develop and manage overall development schedules and budgets.
  • Lead design and engineering coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Review proposals, cost forecasts, and change orders to align with agreements.
  • Ensure site development plans and approvals are compliant with regulations.
  • Engage with HOA, residents, and stakeholders to report progress and address concerns.
