Job summary

Sportanddev's Special Olympics New York chapter seeks an Associate Director of Development for the New York City Region. You will build relationships with fundraising volunteers while implementing peer-to-peer programs like Polar Plunge to exceed revenue goals and raise awareness of the mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a related field or equivalent, planning, marketing or management is preferred.
• Minimum of one to three years’ experience in fundraising campaigns, corporate solicitations, and special events.
• Not-for-profit fundraising experience recommended.
• Familiarity with NYC boroughs and Long Island neighborhoods a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with fundraising volunteers while implementing peer-to-peer products to exceed revenue goals.
• Create public awareness of Special Olympics NY in conjunction with staff and volunteers in the region.
• Partner with corporations, community organizations, schools and families to communicate the mission and priorities.
• Organize donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors for stewardship campaigns.
• Recruit and cultivate high-level volunteer committees and fundraising volunteers for revenue growth.
