Job summary

The American Heart Association in Las Vegas offers a part-time internship on our Development Team supporting Go Red for Women, Heart Challenge and Heart Ball campaigns. You will help plan, execute, and follow up on life-saving initiatives with a focus on fundraising, logistics, and donor outreach.

Ideal candidates are seniors or graduate students in business, marketing, nonprofit management, or related fields, with strong communication and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• Seniors or grad students pursuing a degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, event planning, public relations.
• Comfortable with vendor outreach (phone calls & emails to vendors & donors).
• Experience/interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
• Experience with event planning for a non-profit or for-profit organization.
• Experience with data entry and data management.
• Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva.
• Reliable wifi connection and transportation.
• Available minimum 20 hrs/wk, M-F 8:30am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing fundraising activities, logistics, and admin support for the Las Vegas market.
• Support fundraising campaigns including Go Red for Women, Heart Challenge, and Heart of Las Vegas.
• Help with pre-campaign planning, day-of-event execution, and post-campaign wrap-up.
• Execute external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain data entry and run reports in event support systems.
• Develop and update marketing materials for campaigns (save-the-dates, invitations, social posts, volunteer rosters).
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
