Job summary

BBBSTC in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Senior Director of Development to translate fundraising vision into execution and lead operations, portfolio strategy, and donor engagement.

You will oversee planning, forecasting, and performance management while supervising frontline fundraising leaders and maintaining a selective major donor portfolio. This hybrid role emphasizes data-informed decision making and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gifts or donor relations.
• Minimum of three years of leadership supervising fundraising professionals or development teams.
• Experience managing major donor portfolios and securing significant philanthropic investments.
• Experience leading fundraising planning, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue management.
• Experience using CRM systems and fundraising metrics to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's annual development strategy, revenue goals, and fundraising priorities.
• Lead development planning, budgeting, forecasting, and goal-setting across the fundraising team.
• Supervise and coach the Director of Individual Giving and Corporate Partnerships Senior Coordinator.
• Strengthen fundraising operations through CRM, data governance, and dashboards.
• Lead major gifts and portfolio management to grow donor engagement and revenue.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Programs, and executive leadership to align fundraising with organizational priorities.
