Job summary

Blue Ridge Health is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Development team within the Communications and Development umbrella. You will translate organizational priorities into a robust philanthropy strategy and drive execution across major gifts, donor stewardship and fundraising operations with cross-functional alignment.

You will set annual and long-term fundraising goals, develop dashboards, and partner with executive leadership to translate funding needs into compelling cases for support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated success with major donor cultivation.
• Experience leading development staff.
• Knowledge of donor stewardship best practices.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
• High integrity and commitment to ethical fundraising.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for major gifts program with standard donor lifecycle practices.
• Coordinates major gift donor relationships with CEO and Director of Communications and Development.
• Designs and refines multiyear philanthropy strategy aligned to mission and sustainability.
• Translates funding needs into donor-centered cases for support with measurable impact.
• Sets annual and long-term fundraising goals and defines success metrics.
• Develops reporting structures and dashboards for leadership visibility.
• Oversees donor systems, workflow, and data-driven decision making.
• Ensures donor information accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Shapes donor communications, including cases for support, proposals, and impact stories.
• Supports Board engagement and fundraising growth initiatives.
