Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) is seeking an organized, creative, and community-minded Development & Events Coordinator to help bring fundraising events to life, build lasting donor relationships, and strengthen the community support that makes our lifesaving work possible.

Working alongside our Development Director, you'll play a key role in coordinating engaging events, supporting fundraising initiatives, and ensuring donors and community partners feel valued. This is an opportunity to combine your organizational talents, relationship-building skills, and passion for making a difference.

What You'll Do
  • Bring events to life: Coordinate fundraising and community events, from planning and logistics to execution and follow-up.
  • Build meaningful connections: Engage donors, sponsors, vendors, and community partners through exceptional service and thoughtful communication.
  • Support fundraising success: Assist with campaigns, sponsorship outreach, donor recognition, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Keep operations on track: Maintain accurate donor records, monitor event budgets, track financial results, and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate for impact: Coordinate event volunteers and work across teams to create welcoming, successful experiences.
  • Share our mission: Partner on event promotions and represent WVHS professionally throughout the community.
What You'll Bring

You're a detail-oriented, dependable professional who enjoys connecting with people, managing projects, and turning plans into results. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate confidently, and bring both creativity and accountability to your work.

You’ll bring a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of nonprofit experience, strong organizational and customer service skills, and proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and databases. Financial tracking and accurate recordkeeping are important parts of your skill set.

A valid Washington State driver's license (or ability to obtain one) and the ability to pass a Washington State Patrol background check are required.

  • Preferred but not required: Previous fundraising experience and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
What We Offer

We value the people who make our mission possible. Our benefits include medical insurance with an employer HSA contribution option, vision and dental insurance, a retirement plan with employer matching contributions, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Why Work With Us?

At WVHS, you'll join a compassionate, accountable, and community-focused team committed to improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them. You'll have opportunities to develop your skills, strengthen community partnerships, and contribute to an organization making a meaningful difference throughout the Wenatchee Valley.

Work Environment

This position combines office-based administrative work with active event coordination at WVHS and community venues, including setup and cleanup. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for scheduled events. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential.

Help connect our community to a mission that saves lives. Join the WVHS team!
