Qualifications

• Engineering, design and construction principles and methods.
• Ability to read, review, understand and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Ability to interpret and apply Federal, State and local laws, codes, regulations and/or ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Complete design reviews of engineering utility and development engineering permits for private developments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, plans and ordinances.
• Process, track, and create records for ongoing and completed design reviews.
• Provide support to Development Engineers, Engineering Right-of-Way Manager, Engineering Technicians, and other staff, as necessary.
• Perform field inspections of engineering and development engineering permits and coordinate inspection-related activities.
• Review building and site plans, engineering reports, electrical diagrams and other inspection-related documents.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of inspections and code compliance activities.
• Document and enter inspection information in computer databases.
• Work on the Development Services team and learn from experienced leaders.
