City of Richardson is seeking a qualified civil engineer to interpret and implement city ordinances and design standards for land development related to water, sewer, drainage, and paving. The role involves project management of development reviews, design, and permitting for municipal infrastructure projects.

The candidate will attend public meetings, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure compliance with state requirements while supporting city policies and contracts.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Texas driver's license required.

Responsabilidades

• Review civil engineering plans for conformance to codes, standards, and policies.
• Negotiate with applicants to resolve issues using professional judgment.
• Manage development projects including ROW/easement, costs, construction, and contracts.
• Prepare analyses of water, sewer, and drainage capacities for developments.
• Coordinate with City departments and outside agencies on projects.
• Respond to inquiries from the public, staff, and developers regarding codes and plans.
• Attend Plan Commission meetings as needed and support urban design standards.
• Maintain post-construction storm water quality program and inspections.

Formação académica

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer license (Texas) or within 12 months
