Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Development Engineer for AE 2100/AE 1107 in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on maintaining engine configurations, supporting rebuilds, and planning tests within a hybrid work model (3 days on site).

You will coordinate with teams, manage BOMs, and drive verification activities, ensuring robust engineering solutions meet customer and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and project planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher required.
• Master’s degree in engineering, JD, or PhD also acceptable.
• U.S. citizenship is required to be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Interface between external and internal customers to elicit and validate stakeholder requirements.
• Manage the unique Bill of Materials for each development engine.
• Coordinate and define instrumentation for test engines and rigs.
• Be the point of contact with the project to coach the team on Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification.
• Become the Subject Matter Expert on test AE configurations, engine and rig assets, test schedules, and test planning.
• Plan for refurbishment of development engines and rigs.
• Develop requirements for Manufacturing/Installation/Test and Commissioning.
• Define configuration hardware requirements to satisfy verification activities.
• Work with budget owners to upgrade engines toward production standard.
