Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Development Engineer for AE 2100/AE 1107 to maintain engine development configurations and support test activities. The role is hybrid with three on-site days per week and relocation assistance as applicable.

You will coordinate testing, manage the BOM, plan refurbishments, and work across engineering teams to deliver robust, validated solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Strong SAP/XFRACAS/Teamcenter knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or higher.
• US Citizenship required for opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Interface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements.
• Manage the unique Bill of Materials for each development engine.
• Upgrade each engine toward production standard as budget allows.
• Plan refurbishment of development engines and rigs.
• Develop requirements regarding Manufacturing/Installation/Test and Commissioning from the engineering teams.
• Define configuration hardware requirements to satisfy verification activities.
• Coordinate and define instrumentation for test engines and rigs.
• Be the point of contact to coach the team on Systems Engineering and Verification activities.
• Become the Subject Matter Expert on test AE configurations, engine and rig assets, test schedules, and test planning.
