BookSmiles is seeking a dynamic Director of Development to lead fundraising, donor relations, and campaigns for a growing children's book bank in Cherry Hill, NJ. You will work closely with the Executive Director, COO, and board to cultivate major gifts, foundations, and corporate partners while designing cultivation plans and grant proposals.

Competenze

• Proven track record in donor cultivation, grant writing, and event management.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and grants (>$50,000).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
• Familiarity with Mailchimp, Canva, or other marketing tools.
• Passion for literacy, education, and BookSmiles mission.

Mansioni

• Develop and implement annual development plans and revenue targets.
• Lead individual giving campaigns and stewardship activities.
• Write grant proposals and donor communications.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit fundraising regulations.
• Develop a major donor portfolio ($10,000+) and steward donors.
• Identify and secure foundation and corporate grants.
• Launch donor stewardship programs to build engagement and retention.
• Plan fundraising events and online giving campaigns.
• Coordinate messaging with teams and prepare board reports.
• Mentor junior development staff and volunteers.
