Job summary

Catholic Partnership Schools in Camden, NJ seeks a Director of Development to drive new revenue and manage major gift fundraising. This frontline role builds relationships with individuals, foundations and corporations, working closely with the Executive Director, board and development committee.

The successful candidate will lead a small team, develop annual plans, and ensure strong donor stewardship while expanding partnerships in South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fundraising experience with a track record of closing major gifts.
• Frontline work: making calls, scheduling visits and asking for gifts.
• Experience with foundation and corporate giving; grant writing a plus.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills for donor engagement.
• Autonomous, works well in a small, hands-on team.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a personal portfolio of major gift donors and prospects with clear cultivation and solicitation goals.
• Identify new prospects through research, networking and community presence.
• Lead solicitations and coordinate asks with the Executive Director and board members.
• Grow corporate and community partnerships across Camden, South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia.
• Oversee the foundation grants pipeline and relationships with program officers.
• Develop and carry out an annual fundraising plan with revenue goals and benchmarks.
• Engage trustees in giving and getting with the board and development committee.
• Partner with Marketing on the case for support and donor materials.
• Set priorities for development staff and oversee their growth.
• Use Salesforce to track progress and report results to leadership.
