Job summary

The Related Group in the United States seeks a Development Manager to oversee due diligence, entitlements, design and construction for a series of new construction and acquisitions. The DM will interface with acquisition staff and company principals throughout planning and execution, coordinating with consultants and authorities to drive projects forward.

Responsibilities include managing pre-development activities, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and project handover to construction

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in engineering, planning, residential and commercial development projects.
• Experience with multifamily condo development and entitlements is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; MBA/finance experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-development process including market/site identification, contract negotiations, preliminary architecture and site design.
• Maximize development profitability by aligning scope, schedule and budget with business plans.
• Determine market and financial feasibility through pro forma and ROI analyses.
• Prepare accurate development timelines and financing packages for new construction.
• Lead permitting and entitlement processes and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate marketing efforts and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
