Job summary

Shalom Bayit is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising strategy and major gifts campaigns in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will work with the Executive Director and Board to expand our donor base and elevate philanthropy supporting women’s safety and abuse prevention within the Jewish community.

The role requires a dynamic, seasoned fundraising professional with strong leadership, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills to guide two lay committees and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated fundraising success in major gifts and campaigns.
• Proven ability to lead inspired, collaborative teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong storytelling.
• Strong donor stewardship and moves management capabilities.
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders in the Bay Area Jewish community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead fundraising campaigns to increase individual and institutional gifts.
• Advance major gifts portfolio and multi-year commitments.
• Lead two lay committees and coordinate with executive leadership.
• Create annual Development Plan and contribute to budget forecasting.
• Collaborate on public messaging to elevate agency profile and fundraising efforts.
