Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester seeks a Director of Development to lead annual giving strategies, corporate partnerships, and donor relations. You will supervise the Donor Relations Manager and Development Coordinator while expanding the agency’s donor base and fundraising initiatives.

The role focuses on strategic planning, campaign management, and events to increase donor engagement and contributions in alignment with the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum four years development and donor relations experience, including annual campaigns.
• Familiarity with fundraising/donor database software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple demands and work independently or with teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual direct mail program.
• Grow corporate partnership program.
• Expand donor base with recurring monthly donors and annual appeal donors.
• Supervise Donor Relations Manager and Development Coordinator.
• Plan and oversee donor recognition events and cultivation activities.
• Prepare content for department materials and reports.
