Job summary

The American Heart Association in Southeast Michigan seeks a Development Director with a track record of fundraising success to lead revenue growth for the Ann Arbor-Jackson Heart Ball and Leaders of Impact campaigns. You will cultivate individual and corporate donors, build major gifts pipelines, and work with volunteers to reach revenue goals while advancing the mission to reduce cardiovascular disease.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant fundraising or sales experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% locally with some overnight trips; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and donors to achieve revenue goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and committees.
• Lead and engage new individual membership for giving societies and plan engaging events.
• Plan and execute events in collaboration with partners; maintain CRM data.
