Job summary

The American Heart Association in Inland Empire is seeking a Development Director to drive revenue for the Heart Challenge and its Inland Empire & Coachella Valley events. This hybrid role combines field work, remote tasks, and quarterly Irvine office meetings.

You will build sponsor pipelines, secure donations, recruit volunteers, and partner with program staff to meet revenue targets. A base salary with up to 25% incentive and a comprehensive benefits package support work-life balance.

Qualifications

3 years of relevant fundraising, sales, or related experience.
University/College degree or equivalent experience.
Daily local travel up to 75% and some overnight trips; reliable transportation required.
Ability to lift/move large objects; heavier items may require assistance.
Basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors.
Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and day-of-the-event volunteers.
Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising.
Lead Cor Vitae giving society engagement events and planning.
Plan and implement events with internal and external partners.
Collaborate with Communications Director to support campaign plans.
